Canadian fintech solutions developer Echoworx has partnered with Mexico City-based Moneta Technologies to help Mexican businesses protect against data theft and cyber attacks.

Toronto, Ontario-based Echoworx offers a technology platform that help companies encrypt their data so it cannot be stolen.

On its website, Echoworx says its experts ‘transform chaos into order’ for enterprises of all kind. The Canadian firm is not new to Mexico as it already has similar partnership agreement with Monterrey-based IT infrastructure service provider Grupo Empresarial EISEI.

Last year, the bulked up in the country by launching a data center in Mexico City. There is little doubt that Echoworx is hunting for lucrative clients in Mexico’s financial services sector, as it was the precise reason the company chose to partner with Moneta Technologies.

“These are very interesting times in Mexico’s vibrant economy and this alliance will help us serve as a trusted partner to our clients by providing best in class information and communication technologies that enable their growth and economic progress,” said Juan Pablo González, Managing Director at Moneta Technologies.

In addition to electronic payments, Moneta provides technology infrastructure development service for a number of banking, financial services, retail, and telecom firms in Mexico.

Banks deal with sensitive data all day. With mobile banking becoming common, banks are finding an urgent need for technology solutions that help protect data.

“As large institutions, especially those in the financial sector, look for new and better ways to engage their customers and increase market share, they will quickly see how offering secured services like e-statements will be a sharp differentiator,” said Jacob Ginsberg, Senior Director of Products at Echoworx at the time the company unveiled a data center in Mexico.
