Nearsoft has been crowned as the number one place to code in Mexico by Software Guru Magazine, beating out companies like iTexico, Tiempo Development, and AN Global for the title.

“Our culture allows Nearsoftians to be themselves, be playful, and innovate,” writes the company on its website. “Great ideas are nurtured organically when a team member feels safe.”

The company has over 250 people in three different offices in Mexico, as well as an office San Jose, CA, and another in Las Vegas, NV.

The full list of “Best Place to Code” companies is Nearsoft (1), Tiempo Development (2), GIN Group (3), michelada.io (4), Headspring (5), MagmaLabs (6), Icalia Labs (7), Tacit Knowledge (8), Density Labs (9), iTexico (10), CódigoFacilito (11), TangoSource (12), Unosquare (13), Kueski (14), and AN Global (15).

The evaluation was aimed at employees of the companies, focusing on factors like the intellectual challenge of the work, the capability to learn from co-workers, company support and training, the provision of equipment and tools, flexibility of schedule and office location, possibility of event participation, financial stability, social and cultural factors, and the chances for growth within the company.

Overall, 989 evaluations were obtained from 142 different companies on an online survey platform during November 2017. There had to be at least 5 evaluations to be considered for the top 15, leaving only 32 companies in the running for top place to code.

“We congratulate these companies for the effort they make and for the recognition from their collaborators,” said Software Guru.

This is not Nearsoft’s first achievement for company culture: it has been ranked as a Great Place to Work by the GPTW Institute since 2008, and has been included in WorldBlu’s list of Certified Freedom-Centered Workplace since 2009.
